Some of my favorite things things to do in Manhattan this time of year are wonder at the detail of miniature trains displays, visit Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree and ice skaters, check out the department stores’ holiday windows, warm up inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral, visit family and, most of all, absorb the holiday spirit that infuses the air.

Two songs that say “It’s the holidays” to me are Paul McCartney’s Wonderful Christmas Time and Paul McCartney’s The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).

What songs put you in a holiday mood?  What are your favorite holiday traditions?
